When you use a VPN connection, your computer will have a UC Berkeley IP address instead of the one normally supplied by your Internet Service Provider (ISP). This allows you to use article databases, electronic journals, and other licensed resources found through the Library website and catalogs.
-By VPN (Virtual Private Network) and/or Proxy Server- The restricted electronic library resources (licensed resources) such as online databases and electronic journals are available to the Eastern Mediterranean University faculty, students and staff, from locations outside the campus by VPN (Virtual Private Network) and/or Proxy Server. Connecting to UF Library Resources from Off Campus. Off-campus access to eResources: restricted to UF students, faculty, and staff UF Libraries purchase special licenses for electronic items such as eJournals and articles, eBooks, databases, and other digitally available materials, so off-campus access to these materials is limited to the students, faculty, and staff of the University of Florida. VPN AnyConnect (client) VPN AnyConnect is the preferred way to access the Library's resources from off campus. However, you cannot use AnyConnect if you cannot load client software on your computer. Be sure to select 2-Step Secured - Allthruucsd from the group drop-down menu while authenticating. The campus VPN service allows you to connect your computer to the campus network as if you were physically on campus. The client VPN allows you to authenticate one time, with access to all library resources as long as you remain logged in. To use the client VPN, you will need to download and install a small application.
