I'm not aware of any GnuPG extensions to fix this. In certain use cases — such as when the message isn't signed by a trusted signing key — OpenPGP is arguably worse than AES Crypt due to this issue. IMHO, OpenPGP should be retired along with GnuPG. The cryptography is from the 1990s and badly outdated.
